The song "Valley of the Sun" is one of many pre-production demo recordings made in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 9, 2016.
This exercise was in preparation for entering the studio in October to record the band's debut full length album. The track was recorded live without overdubs at the group's rehearsal space and later mixed and mastered for release on bandcamp.
